Happy Hands Education Center is excited to announce the addition of Deaf Christian Academy!
Enrollments are now being accepted for Deaf students interested in attending during the 2024-2025 school year.
Deaf Christian Academy at Happy Hands opened their first classroom for elementary age children in August 2023. Deaf Christian Academy is the only Christian Deaf school nationwide that we have been able to find. Deaf Christian Academy provides a bilingual education which promotes academic excellence, full proficiency in ASL and English (reading and writing), and most importantly a focus on Deaf students knowing and serving Christ. Classroom communication and instruction will be focused on ASL and written English.
The vision of Deaf Christian Academy has been on the hearts and minds of many parents, educators and supporters for many years. In the summer of 2022, God made it clear that the time is now. The Happy Hands Board of Directors approved the plan to begin Deaf Christian Academy and began praying for wisdom and guidance to grow a very special and unique school that will educate and prepare Deaf students academically, physically, emotionally and spiritually to become leaders in their communities. It is our vision that to reach our Deaf friends for Christ, we must prepare Deaf students to become leaders and kingdom workers.
