Deaf Christian Academy

Deaf Christian Academy is a ministry of Happy Hands Education Center serving children who are Deaf or hard of hearing in kindergarten through fifth grade. DCA provides a bilingual Christian education where students grow academically, develop proficiency in American Sign Language and English literacy, and build a strong biblical foundation.

Founded in 2023 after years of prayer and planning, DCA was created because Deaf children deserve access to an excellent Christian education in a setting where they can fully participate, learn, and grow. Today, the school continues that work by preparing students to become confident learners, strong communicators, and future leaders who know and serve Christ.

Our mission at Happy Hands is to empower children who are Deaf or hard of hearing to flourish in school and in life. We do this by educating children, nurturing families, and building hope. At DCA, that mission takes shape through a Christ-centered education designed to meet the unique needs of Deaf and hard of hearing students while equipping them with the knowledge, language, confidence, and faith to pursue what God has prepared for them.

Our mascot, David, reflects that calling. When David faced Goliath, his strength was not found in the weapon he carried but in the God he trusted. As he slung a single stone, David stepped forward in faith, knowing that the Lord had equipped him for the task before him.

“For who is God, but the Lord?
And who is a rock, except our God?
The God who equipped me with strength
and made my way blameless.”
Psalm 18:31-32

At Deaf Christian Academy, we believe God equips each child with purpose and potential. We want our students to grow strong in spirit, filled with wisdom, and confident in who God created them to be.

“And the child grew, and became strong in spirit, filled with wisdom; and the grace of God was upon him.”
Luke 2:40

Our vision is to prepare Deaf students to become leaders and Kingdom workers. Through Christ-centered learning, meaningful relationships, and a commitment to academic excellence, we are helping students build the foundation they need to flourish in school, in life, and in their walk with Christ.
