Happy Hands is honored to be a contender for the 2026 Yass Prize!
The Yass Prize and STOP Awards Initiative seeks out education organizations that are Sustainable, Transformational, Outstanding and Permissionless. More than an awards program, the initiative is designed to identify and support organizations tackling some of education’s biggest challenges while creating opportunities for students to thrive.
Since 2021, the Yass Foundation for Education has awarded more than $60 million in grants to new and alumni organizations. Each year, one organization receives the prestigious $1 million Yass Prize for most fully exemplifying the STOP principles.
Being named a contender places Happy Hands among education organizations across the country that are finding new ways to serve students and expand educational opportunity.
At Happy Hands Education Center and Deaf Christian Academy, our mission is to empower children who are Deaf or hard of hearing to flourish in school and in life. We do this by educating children, nurturing families and building hope. Being considered for the Yass Prize gives us another opportunity to share why accessible, high-quality Christian education matters for Deaf and hard of hearing students.
We are grateful to be part of this year’s Yass Prize competition and to have the opportunity to tell more people about the work happening at Happy Hands.
